Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) Group collaborates with the country’s top chefs—Chef Rob Pengson, Chef Sau del Rosario, Chef Noel Agra, Chef Nathan Uy, and Chef JM Sunglao— to show that practically anyone can prepare restaurant-style dishes at home with the right guidance. The initiative is part of APC’s “How to Cook by COOKMUNITY®” campaign, featuring weekly recipe tutorial videos that empower Filipinos to try exciting recipes in their kitchens.
“Cooking is one of the passions that has flourished among Filipinos as they continue to stay at home. At Ajinomoto, we want to support their new-found appreciation of the craft by coming up with easy-to-cook, delicious, restaurant style dishes that people can easily replicate and enjoy at home,” says Roann Co, APC General Manager of Marketing and Public Relations.
The recipes use ingredients usually already found in everyone’s kitchens or can easily be bought from the store. No unfamiliar spices or special equipment needed. The recipes are also simple enough to follow with just five steps or less. Lastly, the result is always restaurant-quality dishes, bringing out the chef in everyone.
From August to October, a total of 12 unique and easy-to-follow video cooking tutorials will be shared on Cookmunity® by Ajinomoto Philippines facebook page. The first ones—from Chef Rob and Chef Sau—have just been released.
Chef Rob, one of the most innovative and creative chefs in the country, prepared Eggplant Katsudon using the AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix; and the Scallion & Shrimp Chow Mein using the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning.
Meanwhile, Chef Sau, a proud Kapampangan who honed his craft in various countries including Singapore, Thailand, and Shanghai, developed the Asian-Style Chicken BBQ, using the SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce; and the Prawn Rebosado, using the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning.
This September, expect four more unique and interesting recipes, this time from Chef Noel and Chef Nathan.
Chef Noel, a champion of healthy food and fitness, has come up with the Tofu Taco, using the AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix; and the Cheesy Veggie Omelette, using the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning.
On the other hand, Chef Nathan, an “instablogger” who’s always hungry for recipe innovation, has come up with Chicken Pandan, using the AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix; and the Chinese Style Steamed Fish, with the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning. Chef Nathan has a third recipe that will surely be loved by Kdrama or Kpop fans, the Kimchi Fried Rice, using the AJI-SHIO® Garlic Seasoning Mix, which will be released in October.
Completing October’s line up of recipes are three delicious dishes from Chef JM, who owns a popular comfort food restaurant. Chef JM has come up with Garlic Parmesan Spaghetti, using the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning; the Crispy Fried Fish Roulade, using the CRISPY FRY® Breading Mix; and the Apan-apan, with the use of the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning.
“We hope that through this series, we are able to enrich the home cooking experience of more Filipinos. Providing recipe ideas and cooking techniques to home cooks to make delicious and nutritious meals to be enjoyed by the family. Being true to Ajinomoto’s Eat Well, Live Well mission,” shares Co.
