Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC Group) introduces one of the country’s pride and glory Carlos Yulo as the brand’s newest athlete endorser. He is a multi-awarded gymnast and is known to be the First Filipino and male South-East Asian to win at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
“We are extremely happy to welcome Carlos Yulo into the Ajinomoto family. We are inspired by his many victories and we promise to support him in achieving more success in the future,” says Hironori Aoki, APC’s Board of Director for Marketing, Sales and Public Relations.
The 23-year-old athlete will compete at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia this May 2023 and is set to put up a strong display at the upcoming World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Belgium which will be his first opportunity to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“I am very grateful to be part of Ajinomoto family. The sports nutrition brand aminoVITAL® has been a key part of my training. I am honored to be working with them as I prepare for my next competitions representing our country.” shared Yulo.
To help Yulo achieve his full potential, APC will support him through the Victory Project®. Ajinomoto Co. Inc. started The Victory Project® in 2003 to support the conditioning of top-level athletes in Japan and conduct nutritional support activities1 utilizing the power of amino acids, including providing products such as aminoVITAL® and promoting the Winning Meals Kachimeshi®2. Ajinomoto’s Kachimeshi® (“Winning Meals”) concept is shared to support elite athletes in building winning physiques for optimum performance.
APC is proud to have been a strong supporter of Filipino athletes. Through its Victory Project® initiative, the brand has helped 30th SEA Games Karate Gold Medalist and World Champion Junna Tsukii. Enjoining Yulo in the Ajinomoto family, the same support system and more can be expected in their future projects together.
True to its Eat Well, Live Well brand promise, Ajinomoto has been empowering athletes, consumers, and communities through various nutrition initiatives. Aside from the Victory Project, Ajinomoto has also been promoting delicious sodium reduction through the BawAsin® campaign and promotion of balanced-meals through Mag-Pinggang Pinoy® Tayo! project.
“One of the things that we are excited to work with Carlos is championing a lifestyle of wellness for Filipinos. We believe he is the right athlete ambassador to help us empower Filipinos, especially the youth, in living a healthier lifestyle,” Aoki added.
